a German girl and I am living in Berlin in the part called Schöneberg
which means Beautiful Mountain, but there is no mountain here. I am
living
with my mother who is divorced and with our lodger, who is an American.
He is translating books and does not pay his rent on time.
His name is Ernie Poodle, but it is not his real name.

Y N O V E L A N D E R N I E ' S
N O V E L S Ernie talks always about writing a novel but he cannot decide which novel to write, so he is writing bits and pieces of a lot of novels. My favorite is called "Slipping Away," because he says it is about living away from home, but so far he has only written down conversations he has with a couple of stupid drunks in a bar around the corner. When I write my novel, it will be about Ernie and the lady cop he once fell in love with and I will call it "Cowboy Love." Ernie is so slow, that I will probably write my book first. |
